TNA Reports 400 Turned Out For Hogan-Fu Contest

David Crosby, 31, who works at a Snap Fitness gym in the wrestling-rich Minneapolis suburb of Robbinsdale, boarded a Greyhound bus late Thursday night for the 14-hour journey to St. Louis. A lifelong Hulk Hogan fan, he didn't hesitate to spend $190 on the bus ticket for a chance to see the pop icon in person and compete in the inaugural Hogan Fu-Fest, held Friday, Feb. 26, at Shannon's Steaks & Seafood in downtown St. Louis.

Crosby, though, didn't just compete - he won the grand prize (ringside seats to Lockdown 2010 on April 18 at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.).
"I'm still on cloud nine," Crosby said about an hour after winning the title and after taking more than 200 photos with TNA fans at the event.

More than 400 attended the record-setting afternoon extravaganza. (TNA Wrestling has forwarded documentation from Hogan Fu-Fest to officials overseas at the worldwide headquarters of Guinness World Records to verify the event as the new record for Largest Gathering of Mustached People.)

"I never expected to win; it's actually a bonus," Crosby said. "I found out about Hogan Fu-Fest last Wednesday and there was no doubt that I was going (to attend.) I booked the (bus) ticket right away; I just knew it was one of those things that I was supposed to do."

Crosby said his "heart dropped" when Hogan formally announced the event's grand-prize winner.

TNA Wrestling personalities Jimmy Hart and Jeremy Borash also attended.
